According to Anthony Gordon, nothing has topped his England debut in terms of his career highlights thus far.

During Saturday's match at Wembley Stadium, the Newcastle United player was given the opportunity to start against Brazil. This came after he received his first invitation to join the senior team for the games in March.

Although they lost the game because of Endrick's last-minute goal, Gordon thinks that the outcome could have been different.

"I had an incredible night today, although I had imagined it differently, with a victory and a goal," expressed the former player of Everton as well as the under 21s team for England.

If I'm being critical of myself, I wished I had scored the volley opportunity in the first half.

In my opinion, we played better overall, however, we were missing the crucial element of precision in our performance that our opponents possessed towards the conclusion of the game.

I've been holding onto this dream for a while now and realizing it would be the ultimate accomplishment for me. It holds significant value and importance to my life."

I didn't just start thinking about it a few years ago, I used to picture it in my backyard when I was younger, pretending to score the same goals as Rooney and Gerrard - it's a truly awesome experience.

It's tough to make it to the England team given the abundance of talent. I still have a lot to prove because I haven't demonstrated my full potential.

Ezri Konsa also earned his first appearance as a player for the national team. He came in the game as a replacement for Kyle Walker during the first half.

The defender from Aston Villa rapidly adapted to the game and, just like Gordon, even though the outcome wasn't in their favor, he confesses that he savored the encounter.

"It's absolutely worth waiting for and it feels like a fulfillment of a dream - a moment of pride," expressed the ex-England MU20 athlete.

I never anticipated being called in that soon during the game, but I relished every second of it. In my opinion, we were the superior squad and controlled possession, but we were unable to secure a goal.

When observing their quartet in the front, their exceptional skill is evident. They consistently possess tremendous abilities, as we witnessed this evening."

I'm certain that the rest of the boys are not pleased with losing. It's a terrible sensation and we were determined to triumph. Therefore, there are juxtaposed emotions at play here, but I hope to reminisce about this night and recognize that I successfully made my debut for England.

I can't believe it. If someone had told me this years ago, I would have accused them of lying. Every kid dreams of playing in a major tournament, and I hope I'm one of the players chosen to go to Germany.
