The Met Office is warning people in the West Midlands about thunderstorms and heavy rain with a yellow alert.
The alert starts at 1:00 AM BST on Thursday and will be in effect for nearly a full day.
According to the Met Office, there is a possibility of intense rainfall on Thursday morning, followed by thunderstorms and additional showers in the afternoon.
The post mentioned that the storms in the afternoon might bring around 50mm (2in) of rain within a span of 1-2 hours, as well as strong winds, hail, and flooding on the roads.
The weather forecasters at the Met Office warned that there is a small possibility of disruption, which could lead to challenges with driving and potential road closures in case of flooding.
The weather service suggested that people should check the status of roads before driving, or the schedules of buses and trains if taking public transportation, before heading out on Thursday.
The range of alerts goes from yellow, to amber, to red.
The yellow warning on Thursday will affect a large part of England and Wales, including the whole West Midlands area.
There has been a heatwave in several areas of the UK throughout this week.
On Tuesday, it was the hottest day of the year up to now, reaching 32C at both Kew Gardens and Heathrow.
