Garcia knocked Haney down three times and won the fight in April, but it was later discovered that he had tested positive for drugs twice in the week leading up to the bout.

Garcia, who failed to make weight before his match with Haney, has been prohibited from boxing for a whole year starting from April 20th. In addition, Garcia will have to give up his guaranteed purse of $1.1 million and pay a $10,000 fine to the commission. The news was first reported by Dan Rafael.

Garcia, who is 25 years old, has claimed he is not guilty since it was revealed that he tested positive for the prohibited substance Ostarine. He reiterated his innocence on Thursday, June 20th.

"Another loss on top of everything else I'm dealing with. I didn't cheat, I earned that victory," the American posted on social media.

I hope boxing continues to thrive even though I am no longer participating. I fought against everyone who challenged me and was always ready to do so. Unfortunately, they have now abandoned me. I firmly believe in my innocence, despite what others may say. Even if someone were to threaten me, I would still maintain that I did not take any performance-enhancing drugs.

"You have never experienced the same challenges as me, I am not guilty. You cannot understand my emotions."

The group that tests for drugs in sports, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, found that Garcia's results were not good. At the same time, the New York State Athletic Commission made a decision that canceled Garcia's victory over Haney and stopped him from competing.

Haney, 25, has reclaimed his undefeated status following the decision to reverse his loss to Garcia. He remains the reigning WBC super-lightweight champion, as Garcia's inability to make weight during the weigh-in rendered him ineligible to compete for the title in April.

The team of Garcia stated that Ryan Garcia was unknowingly exposed to contaminated substance, with levels so low that it did not give him any advantage during his fight.

Ryan and his lawyers have sorted out this problem and he stands by his claim that he never knowingly used any prohibited substances. It goes against his character.

Ryan has been willingly participating in random testing for years, including during times when he isn't competing. He has never had any problems and has always maintained a perfect record. This has helped him become a highly respected boxer, admired by fans all over the world.

Fans will never forget his amazing performance against Haney, it will always be remembered as a masterpiece.

Ryan will keep working to make the sport better and will be actively supporting the push for change. We are optimistic that future enhancements to our system will tackle problems like this one.

We appreciate all the fans who have stood by Ryan, not just during the good times but also during the challenging times that life throws our way. We are looking forward to seeing him back in the ring soon, even stronger than before!
