Toulouse beat PSG to blight Mbappé's final home game
This specific striker of Paris Saint-Germain didn't care about scoring goals - even though there were many - but instead focused on the farewell during Sunday evening.
When Kylian Mbappé's name was announced before the game against Toulouse at the Parc des Princes, many PSG fans showed their disapproval by booing him.
Thankfully, during the final home game before the 25-year-old player's exit, there was plenty of praise and support from the fans for him. He managed to score a record-breaking 255 goals during his seven-year stint with the club after joining from Monaco.
After just eight minutes of the game, the score was 256 and the atmosphere was filled with cheers.
Arnau Tenas, PSG's goalkeeper, kicked the ball ahead with great force. Mbappé was able to control it as it came down and quickly made his way into the Toulouse penalty area. He skillfully maneuvered around the opposing goalkeeper, Guillaume Restes, and then scored a goal by gently slotting the ball into the net.
What an excellent performance at the theater. Unfortunately, the excitement didn't last long because the linesman indicated that there was an off-side.
However, technology came into play and Mbappé emerged victorious after scoring his 28th goal of the season in Ligue 1, thereby securing the golden boot for the sixth time in a row.
In less than five minutes, the guests managed to catch up. Thijs Dallinga skillfully maneuvered past Tenau, thanks to the assistance of Moussa Diarra.
Toulouse had no worries about being relegated and didn't feel any pressure about qualifying for European competitions next season. They played confidently and with determination against PSG. However, PSG didn't have their skilled midfield player Vitinha or the attacking precision of Ousmane Dembélé.
In the additional time, Frank Magri scored the third goal for Toulouse, ruining Mbappé's farewell.
