A 25-year-old attacker is in demand by Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Arsenal. There has been speculation about his transfer for several years, but it seems he has finally informed his current team that he will be leaving.

According to The Athletic, Mbappé has stated that he will depart at the conclusion of his contract this summer. However, the details have not been finalized and it is anticipated that a statement will be released prior to June 30th, when his contract ends.

The year 2022 was marked by a surprising decision made by Mbappé, who signed a fresh agreement with PSG, despite widespread rumors linking him to Real Madrid. The new deal recognized him with a remarkable amount of €200 million ($215 million) annually to represent the French team in the field.

The agreement is scheduled to end during the summer season. However, even though he has publicly stated his desire to depart, he may still decide to renew his contract. This possibility arises from the substantial amount of loyalty rewards Mbappé will earn if he chooses to prolong his affiliation.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, PSG will have to pay a significant amount, between €70 million ($75.3 million) and €80 million ($86.1 million), if they want to keep Mbappé for a longer period. Alternatively, Mbappé can choose to leave without any transfer fees, and his potential new team would likely offer a substantial amount as a signing bonus.

Instead of leaving Paris, Mbappé could choose to renew his contract and then allow the Ligue 1 team to receive a transfer fee when he moves to his next club. There is an option for Mbappé to extend his contract for 12 months, but he is the only one who can activate this option. Negotiations may still be necessary to finalize the terms of his contract extension.

The reports on a possible move to Real Madrid are still ongoing, and this has been acknowledged by the Spanish newspaper, MARCA. They have claimed that negotiations are still in progress and Real Madrid is the most probable destination for the move.

This update comes just seven days following a statement by MARCA revealing Real Madrid's desire to avoid a recurrence of past summers, when Mbappé postponed announcing his plans until the season's end. Currently, the evidence suggests that he has decided to depart from Paris.

The team from Spain is currently at the top of the rankings in LALIGA and they are also still in the running in the UEFA Champions League, where their goal is to win more trophies. They already won the Spanish Super Cup in January.

During the summer of 2017, Mbappé made the move to PSG from AS Monaco for a whopping €180 million ($193.7 million). Since then, he has been able to score an impressive 243 goals in 290 games.
