People got upset with Elon Musk for saying those who work from home were "morally wrong" because it wasn't fair to others who couldn't work remotely.

Mr Musk spoke with David Faber on CNBC about people who work remotely, not just about productivity concerns. He called them "laptop classes".

He compared working from home to a quote by Marie Antoinette. Marie Antoinette was the queen of France before the French Revolution.

Mr. Musk thinks working from home is like a fake quote from Marie Antoinette. He thinks it's wrong. It's not just about productivity, it's also about morals.

Musk criticized people who ask service workers to go to work instead of working from their homes. It's not fair, he thinks.

He said to stop acting superior about working from home.

"They make the cars, fix the houses, cook the food, and create everything we use. It's not right to think they have to work, but you don't have to," he stated.

I believe it's unjust, not just unproductive.

The tech bigwig wants people to go back to the office. He enforced a rule in Tesla: if you don't follow it, you'll lose your job. This happened in June 2022.

Employees had to be at the office for 40 hours each week. If they worked less, it was considered lazy.

He said the laptop group is not being realistic.

Many people were angry with Mr. Musk's comments on work-from-home culture.

Someone on Twitter said that although Elon Musk is one of the richest people in the world, he seems unaware of how hard it is for others to get by. Another person criticized David Faber for complaining about productivity while people are perfectly capable of working from home.

Lora Kolodny mentioned a CNBC report. The report said that Tesla will create deals for "exceptional" employees. This is happening even though Tesla has a hardline policy to return to the office. Sources say that Tesla is struggling to bring all its employees back to the office because of a lack of resources.

Ms Kolodny pointed out that under Musk's leadership, Tesla and Twitter will allow exceptional employees to work from home.

Mr Musk talked for an hour in an interview. He revealed that he doesn't care about the results of his outspoken tweets. This could lead to him losing money but he is not concerned.

He said he’ll speak his mind and is ready to lose money as a consequence.

Twitter fired many employees when it was taken over. The new boss will try to hire some of them back. The old boss said that too many people lost their jobs.

During tough times, we sometimes have to do extreme things. Mr. Musk shared that if we act quickly, some people may lose their jobs. However, there is a chance that we could hire them again later.
