Kayla Harrison: A Quick Introduction
Kayla Harrison is an American Judoka who has made a name for herself in the world of martial arts. She was born on July 2nd, 1990 in Middletown, Ohio. She started training in Judo when she was just six years old, and her passion for the sport quickly became evident. When she was just fifteen years old, she competed in her first World Judo Championships. Since then, she has won numerous Judo competitions including Gold medals at the 2016 and 2021 Olympic Games.
Major Achievements and Contributions
Kayla Harrison's contribution to the sport of Judo is immense. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest judokas of all time. She has won two Olympic gold medals, a World Championship gold medal, and two Pan American Games gold medals. She has also been a part of the US Judo team that has won numerous medals at international competitions. Kayla has taken her sport to new heights with her success and passion for Judo.
Off the mat, Kayla is also an advocate for sexual abuse victims. She suffered abuse as a young Judo athlete and later went on to establish the Fearless Foundation to help other athletes with similar stories.
