Who is Ian Maatsen?
Ian Maatsen is a professional football player from the Netherlands, who primarily plays as a left-back. He was born on 10th February 2002 in the city of Alphen aan den Rijn. Growing up, Maatsen developed an interest in football at an early age and began playing for a local club. His passion and talent for the sport quickly caught the attention of scouts, and he was soon signed by Dutch football club, Feyenoord.
Maatsen made his professional debut for Feyenoord in 2019, at the age of 17. He went on to make eight appearances for the club before signing for English Premier League side, Chelsea, in the summer of 2019. Although Maatsen has yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea, he has featured regularly for the club's U-23 team.
