Scotland’s Humza Yousaf’s in-laws trapped in Gaza

Humza Yousaf, the First Minister of Scotland, expressed his concern about his parents-in-law who are currently stuck in Gaza. He further added that nobody can ensure their secure transfer to any other location.

According to Yousaf, who leads the Scottish National Party, his wife's folks journeyed from Dundee all the way to Gaza to check on a relative when Hamas initiated their fatal offensives.

Yousaf spoke to reporters on Monday and explained that he is currently in a difficult predicament. He stated that every day and every night, he and his family do not know if his mother-in-law and father-in-law, who have no ties to Hamas or any acts of terrorism, will survive or not. This is a common situation that most people in Gaza face on a daily basis.

The first minister informed Yousaf's family that the Israeli authorities have demanded them to evacuate Gaza as it is going to be demolished entirely. Even though the British Foreign Office is trying their best to help, they cannot promise Yousaf's family a secure journey to anywhere.

"He mentioned that we can't sleep because we are constantly checking our phones." He also mentioned that many people in "the Jewish community in Scotland will be extremely concerned about their families in Israel who have been affected."

Yousaf strongly criticized the Hamas attacks and cautioned that the ongoing conflict would have a severe impact on innocent people on both sides.

I feel for everyone affected by the conflict because those who are not directly involved, including innocent civilians, should not have to suffer the consequences of the ongoing violence. These people have no association with Hamas terror or the loss of life, yet they are often the ones who bear the brunt of the damage.
