Fernandez shared a post on Instagram following Argentina's win in the Copa America against Colombia. In the post, he and his teammates were seen celebrating and talking about the France national team.

Wesley Fofana, who plays on the same team as Fernandez for Chelsea, shared the video on social media with a caption that read: "Looking at the state of football in 2024: racism continues unchecked."

The FFF has claimed that the song sung by Argentina's national team is "racially offensive and discriminatory".

In the announcement, they mentioned: "The head of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, strongly disapproves of the racist and unfair comments directed towards the French team players in a song sung by Argentina players and fans after their win in the Copa America. The video was shared on social media."

Confronted with the gravity of these disturbing comments that go against the ideals of sportsmanship and human rights, the head of the French Football Federation (FFF) has chosen to take action against the President of Argentina and FIFA. He is filing a legal complaint due to the offensive and discriminatory nature of the remarks.
