ACU Southern Centre Trials Championship 2024

Championship

The 2024 ACU Southern Centre Trials Championship will consist of nine main rounds and three extra “Classic” rounds for bikes that were made before 1967, have a twin shock system, or have a rigid frame.

We are optimistic about the addition of another Youth Round to the calendar, which could potentially be incorporated into a Trial that is already scheduled.

Some Championship Rounds might not include all "Youth Classes" since the venue's character is taken into account.

The dates for the 2024 Trials Championship have been announced. The competition will take place on the 19th and 20th of July in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Trials Championship is an annual event that attracts the top motorcycle riders from around the world. It is a challenging and exciting competition that involves navigating through a series of obstacles in a set amount of time. Competitors are judged not only on their speed but also on their precision and technique. The championship is a must-see event for anyone who loves motorcycles and extreme sports. If you're planning to attend the 2024 Trials Championship, make sure to book your tickets early as they are expected to sell out quickly. This is one event that you don't want to miss!

The preliminary rankings for the 2024 Centre Championship are now available. We've just released the initial classifications for the upcoming competition, which will take place next year. These rankings are subject to change as more teams submit their entries and as we review the data. However, they should give you a good idea of which teams are currently leading the pack and who the top contenders will be. Keep in mind that these are just provisional classifications, so they are not set in stone yet. But they should provide some exciting insights for fans of our annual competition. Stay tuned for further updates as the race to become Centre Champion heats up!

An "Solo Star Award" is given to expert riders who take on a specific route. Clubman experts can tackle both the B and A routes. A past master is a rider over 50 who takes on the B route, while clubmen who are under 50 can take on the B route. Sportsmen can tackle a mix of C and B routes, while veterans, who are over 50 years old, can tackle the C route. Novice riders, who are under 50 years old, can take on the C route. The "George Allan Award" is given to those who ride a pre-67 bike on the C route, while twin shock riders can take on either the C or D route. Youth riders are split into different categories: A, B, C, and D. Additional classic round classes include rigid bikes with either girder forks or tele forks.

At any Centre Championship Trial run by clubs, they may offer extra classes that won't affect the scoring system, as long as the Championship classes are clearly outlined in the Supplementary regulations.

If you want to enter any of the Championship rounds, you need to use the ACU Sport80 platform. Usually, you can't enter on the day unless the club in charge says you can in the Supplementary Regulations. The way points are given is based on performance, with 20 points for the best and 1 point for 15th place in each class. However, only the first 15 finishers in each class will get points. Entrants who are not from the center or who ride a different class for one event won't get any points. The total number of events in the series minus two will count towards each competitor's score for the core series. For the Pre-67 and Twin Shock classes, only the total number of events will count. Awards will be given to the first three places in each class, but at least ten people need to be in the class for it to count. Invitees and partners will be able to attend the annual Awards Presentation in early 2025 as guests of "The ACU Southern Centre." The method of marking should be in the Supplementary Regulations, and organizers will provide details of section marking. A Section Map should be displayed at the start, and competitors will get a "number card" with information about the route. The Supplementary Regulations should include how ties will be resolved. Organizing Clubs should make all necessary information available through various channels, including their websites, the ACU Website, and The Sporting Motorcyclist. They should also produce a programme that shows the entrants' Club, Machine, and Class. The results will be uploaded to the hosting club's website, and the Championship League table will be updated after each event and published in the Sporting Motorcyclist and uploaded to the ACU Southern Centre Facebook. Competitors should check various sources for event information and updates.
