Coventry City has secured their spot in the hat for the FA Cup Fourth Round by scoring six goals against Oxford United at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Goals scored by Joel Latibeaudiere, Ben Sheaf and Kasey Palmer in the first half set the momentum for the game.

After a short interruption, Callum O'Hare successfully converted a penalty kick, followed by Matty Godden's entry from the sideline, who scored two goals to equalize after Mark Harris and Tyler Goodrham scored for the opposing team.

The early stages of the game saw the Sky Blues score their first goal at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Defender Joel Latibeaudiere made the crucial breakthrough by flicking a corner at the near post that left goalkeeper Simon Eastwood beaten.

Although City took the lead, it didn't last long as Oxford managed to score an equalizer within 90 seconds. The goal scorer was Mark Harris, whose deflected shot managed to get past Ben Wilson.

The team's objectives were being achieved rapidly, and the Sky Blues managed to take the lead again just one minute later thanks to a play by Ellis Simms on the left side. Simms passed the ball back to Ben Sheaf, who then struck it hard into the back of the net.

A few moments after that, Mark Robins' team scored another goal, which was the best one yet. Kasey Palmer shot the ball from a distance of 30 yards and it ended up in the top corner of the net, making the score 3-1.

Prior to the intermission, an opportunity arose to increase the lead to a score of 4-1 through a set-piece at a distance of 25 yards. Unfortunately, Milan van Ewijk's attempt struck the upper portion of the net and the Yellow team managed to endure the attack.

Callum confidently took the penalty kick and managed to deceive Eastwood, who moved the wrong way, resulting in the team securing a 4-1 victory.

At the one-hour mark, Ellis Simms had an opportunity to score the fifth point. He managed to outmaneuver his opponent in the box and take a shot, but Eastwood prevented him from doing so by blocking his legs.

A substitute named Tyler Goodrham scored a goal from the edge of the area which got past Ben Wilson just before the game concluded, allowing the visiting team to score one point.

Nonetheless, the City team managed to increase their lead by three goals once again, as Matty Godden, who had come on as a substitute, skillfully placed the ball in the bottom corner of the net.
