REPORT: Coventry City 2-1 Millwall

Coventry City

In the Coventry Building Society Arena, Haji Wright managed to score two goals and turn the game around in the second half, leading the Sky Blues to victory.

During the first half, Millwall gained an advantage by scoring as Romain Esse's shot bounced off Luis Binks and went past Brad Collins.

Nevertheless, during the latter part of the game, Wright managed to secure two goals within a short two-minute time frame, leading to Sky Blues' victory securing all three points.

When there was only one minute left in the game, Brad Collins executed a great save from very close range to prevent George Honeyman from scoring while inside the six-yard box.

On the opposite side, City made a great play that involved Milan van Ewijk passing the ball to Tatsuhiro Sakamoto who took a shot that was blocked by Matija Sarkic. The ball then went to Haji Wright for a second attempt, but unfortunately, it hit the post and Japhet Tanganga cleared it off the line.

During the game, both teams had opportunities to score and during one such instance, Michael Obafemi took a shot from inside the area, but it was saved by the City goalkeeper, Collins, who managed to push the ball away.

Shortly after, the deadlock was finally broken by the visitors. Romain Esse had taken a shot which ended up being deflected off Luis Binks and into the goal.

Millwall kept pressing forward even after scoring, and their goalkeeper was quick to block Obafemi's attempt from the inside of the penalty box.

The football team called the Sky Blues were hoping to even the score. Luckily, a great opportunity arose with Victor Torp having a free-kick from a distance of 25 yards away. Unfortunately, Sarkic blocked the ball with his hand.

The City team continued to push forward against Millwall's defense. They made a move towards the right side of the field, and Kasey Palmer took a shot at the goal. However, the ball was blocked and sent out of bounds by Wes Harding.

At the halfway point of the game, the Sky Blues are losing 0-1 to Millwall.

In the second half, the Sky Blues began playing aggressively and were close to scoring an equalizer just five minutes into the half. Sakamoto took the shot, but Sarkic managed to make a superb save by diving down to his left and block it.

Before the hour mark, there was a change in the game as two players, Bobby Thomas and Ellis Simms, were brought in by Mark Robins' team to try and turn things around.

The team in blue, known as the "Sky Blues," managed to equalize the score through a penalty kick. This happened because one of their players, Haji Wright, was knocked down inside the penalty area. Wright took the penalty and tricked the opposing goalkeeper, Sarkic, by sending the ball in the opposite direction, thus bringing his team back to an equal score.

After a few minutes, Callum O'Hare made his way past the Millwall midfield and found Wright, who scored a goal with his first shot. This resulted in City taking the lead for the first time.

The lead that they had could have been increased a little more just seconds later, but the shot taken by Victor Torp was blocked and ended up resulting in a corner.
