Coventry council is suggesting new limits for the local authority areas, and the LGBC requires your opinion regarding the proposed changes.
The LGBC has been reviewing Coventry City Council to ensure that the representation of council members corresponds to the number of voters, and that ward arrangements facilitate the functioning of the council.
A group not affiliated with any organization started looking into Coventry at the start of this year, and recently released its suggestions for alterations to the city.
After putting forward the proposed plans, the LGBC is interested to know the opinions of locals and community groups. For a period of 10 weeks, until January 22nd, 2024, a consultation will take place to allow individuals to express their thoughts on the matter.
Starting the discussion, Professor Colin Mellors who heads the Commission, expressed that they need the assistance of those residing in Coventry.
We've created plans for fresh divisions in Coventry and we're aiming to ensure that these electoral boundaries represent the various communities within them. We're also prioritizing the importance of making these divisions simple to grasp and hassle-free for those residing in the area.
