Mohammed Kudus scored as West Ham United rallied from a goal behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at London Stadium on Saturday.

The Irons went down early in the second half after Mats Wieffer scored with a shot from 12 yards, finding the bottom corner. However, they managed to level the score when Kudus reacted quickly, heading the ball into the back of the net after Bart Verbruggen saved Jarrod Bowen’s first attempt.

In the final moments of the match, both teams had opportunities to secure a victory, but each goalkeeper stepped up with important saves. Ultimately, a draw was a fair reflection of how the Hammers played throughout the game.

Currently, this means that Julen Lopetegui's team will finish the Christmas period in 14th place with 20 points. They are looking to increase that total when they face bottom-placed Southampton on Boxing Day.
