Southeastern recognised as one of the UK's top apprenticeship employers
Southeastern has been named one of the top employers in the UK for apprentices as they are actively hiring new recruits.
They're the top train company on the Department for Education's list of the best employers for apprenticeships. This ranking takes into account factors like the number of new apprentices, the diversity of recruits, and the pass rates.
Over 620 individuals have finished apprenticeship programs at Southeastern since 2018. They have gained experience in various positions, such as train operators, conductors, engineers, and data analysts.
Southeastern has moved up 10 spots to 58th place on the list compared to last year.
In a statement, Sarah Jones, who oversees apprenticeships at Southeastern, expressed:
We are very pleased to have been honored as one of the top apprenticeship employers in the UK.
This shows how Southeastern is dedicated to enhancing social mobility by expanding our staff and providing chances for newcomers to join our team.
Internships are a fantastic opportunity to enhance skills and we are searching for individuals who are enthusiastic about learning and are committed to assisting us in constructing a more efficient, dependable, and environmentally friendly railway system.
Southeastern plans to sign up 412 apprentices this year, and is currently running its largest recruitment campaign ever in the areas of south-east London, Kent and East Sussex.
