The New ‘Star Wars: Outlaws’ Trailer Looks Shockingly Bad

Star Wars Outlaws

The initial preview for Ubisoft's upcoming Star Wars: Outlaws appears to be quite strange. It's difficult to determine the specific issue, but the entirety of the trailer failed to leave a good impression on me, despite the fact that I was looking forward to playing it.

The TV show Outlaws tells the story of Kay Vess and her cute Merqaal friend, Nix. Humberly González, who primarily acts on screen, lent her talents to Far Cry 6 and Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora. Meanwhile, Dee Bradley Baker has voiced countless characters on hit shows like The Legend Of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and several Star Wars series such as Rebels, Clone Wars, and The Bad Batch. It would be interesting to hear what kind of voice acting is needed for Nix's character. Jay Rincon portrays the slick-looking droid ND-5, and his acting credits include Dead Island 2, Atomic Heart, Horizon Forbidden West, and much more.

I'm not sure about your thoughts, but in my opinion, it appears quite unimpressive. The graphics are decent, but the facial expressions seem robotic, the conversation feels awkward, and the overall vibe doesn't give off a true Star Wars game feel.

In my opinion, the problem with the dialogue is not so much with the main characters, but rather with the supporting ones. In the trailer, a character named Jaylen Vrax does a lengthy explanation of Kay's difficult situation, but the way it's delivered is very dull. It's strange to include so much of this exposition in a trailer.

Luckily, the trailer featuring the gameplay appears to be superior compared to the one featuring the story. This could suggest various possibilities. It may imply that the story trailer is simply unimpressive. Alternatively, the story and dialogue elements may not be impressive; nonetheless, the gameplay can still be incredibly enjoyable. If that is the case, I wouldn't have any objections.

Looking back at the World Premiere trailer, which was made with CGI, it's fascinating to see how much more impressive everything seemed. I'm not just referring to the graphics themselves, but to the appearance of the characters in general. In particular, the antagonist, whose name I'm not certain how to spell (Sleero, I believe), appears significantly different in the new trailer compared to the initial announcement.

Kay Vess's appearance in the latest trailer has undergone some changes that have left viewers confused. Her hair and face have been altered in a way that makes it harder to recognize the actor who plays her.

The story trailer appears to be of lower quality compared to the previous gameplay and announcement trailers. I am surprised at how unimpressive it looks, especially since the previous trailers had me excited for the game.

Despite the passage of time, ND-5 still maintains its aesthetic appeal. Additionally, it is impossible to disregard Nix's adorable qualities.

At the moment, I am cautious but optimistic that this video game will live up to the standards of a brilliant Star Wars experience. I am thrilled with the concept of a game that does not involve Jedi, Sith, and all of the typical themes. This is one of the reasons why I enjoyed Andor and Rogue One immensely. Though Solo: A Star Wars Story had its flaws, the parts surrounding the underworld made it enjoyable. It appears that this video game is connected to the Syndicate aspect of the movie, and it might feature one of the movie's main characters. Can we expect a Darth Maul appearance? Only time will tell. Ubisoft is not doing themselves any favors by revealing that the video game will have expensive special editions, early access privileges for pre-orders, and a Season Pass for a single-player game. It's draining us, Ubi. If you could stop milking us for money, perhaps we would be more inclined to trust your games.

Outlaws from the Star Wars series will be launched on August 30th.
