According to reports, Ryan Garcia has been discharged from the hospital after he was transferred there for assessment and medical care after his apprehension in Los Angeles on Saturday.

TMZ reported that the pugilist was apprehended for committing a serious crime of destroying property at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Beverly Hills. However, his legal representative has recently verified that he has been discharged.

On Saturday afternoon, he was arrested for allegedly causing destruction to the hotel's property. Reportedly, he damaged not only his room but also the hallway. The estimated value of the damage is said to be $15,000.

According to TMZ, Garcia may have been intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. However, it was noted that he was compliant with the authorities during his detainment. TMZ has footage of the incident, showing Garcia without a shirt and with a helmet on during his arrest.

Earlier this year, the 25-year-old triumphed over Devin Haney, but his unpredictable behavior during the preparation period caused people to doubt his emotional stability for the match. Following his unexpected triumph, he was found to have failed a drug test.

Reportedly, Ryan Garcia, who was experiencing some difficulties, has been released following his detention in Los Angeles.

Garcia, who is 25 years old, has recently been involved in another dramatic incident which adds to a series of inconsistent actions throughout the year.

TMZ recently reported that Garcia was checked on by the police to ensure his well-being at the hotel he was staying in after a family member expressed concern.

Policemen seemingly concluded that he was alright and there was no further issue.

However, Garcia's apprehension last Saturday in California is the most recent unsettling development in a chaotic couple of months for him.

He split up with his partner Andrea Celina right after their second child was born in December 2023.

Later, as he prepared for his highly-anticipated match against Haney in April, he caused considerable concerns regarding his mental wellbeing due to a range of unsettling and strange outbursts on social media. Among these incidents was a declaration that his throat had been cut, which caused alarm.

Garcia stated that he was sexually assaulted by a relative during his childhood. He also accused 'the elites' of restraining him in the forest and compelling him to witness the rape of a minor.

With worries about his mental state, he showed up to his rivalry fight against WBC super-lightweight champion Haney almost four pounds over the weight limit. This caused him to miss out on winning the title, even though he won the fight.

According to reports, the police inspected Garcia at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hotel after receiving a phone call from a worried family member.

Garcia emerged victorious over Devin Haney in the recent past despite doubts surrounding his physical readiness to compete.

After his successful win in Brooklyn, it was later revealed that Garcia had tested positive for a prohibited substance called Ostarine on both the day before and the day of the fight. The B-sample test also showed the same outcome.

Nonetheless, his squad argues that the subsequent examination of the B-sample verifies their athlete's innocence, affirming that he is only a casualty of supplement pollution.

Haney is advocating for the outcome to be changed to a disqualification victory, whereas his father is proposing that Garcia be permanently prohibited from boxing.

Garcia shared on social media that his mother, Lisa, is currently facing breast cancer.

"I have my mother's permission to post this," he wrote. "Could you please pray for her?"

Breast cancer is a foolish disease and I have no concern for it because I am confident that she will emerge victorious. Jesus is superior to all, including cancer.
