Who is Rishi Sunak?

Rishi Sunak is a British politician who is currently the Chancellor of the Exchequer. He was appointed to this position in February 2020, by the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. Prior to this role, Sunak served as the Chief Secretary to the Treasury and the Minister of Local Government.

Before entering politics, Sunak studied at Oxford University, worked as an investment banker, and co-founded an investment firm. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for Richmond in North Yorkshire in 2015, an area he has represented since then. Despite only being in politics for a relatively short period of time, Sunak has made a significant impact on the British government, particularly in the area of economic policy.
