First post-op photo of Princess of Wales withdrawn due to ‘manipulation’
Several major picture agencies have recalled the initial official photo of the Princess of Wales, which was released following her surgery to the abdomen two months ago. This recall was made due to allegations that the picture was tampered with.
To celebrate Mother's Day in the UK, a photo was made public featuring Catherine sitting in a chair among her three kids. This photo has been officially released and is the first of Catherine since Christmas.
Following its publication, the photograph was withdrawn by several photo companies such as Associated Press, Agence France-Presse and Reuters, who issued a "stop order" to discontinue its sharing.
Upon further examination, it seems that the original source has tampered with the image," reported the AP. A representative for AP informed the Telegraph that "there is a discrepancy in the positioning of Princess Charlotte's left hand" in the photograph.
According to the AFP, a photo taken by the Prince of Wales has been removed indefinitely due to an editorial error. The photo can no longer be used in any way and should be promptly deleted from all online platforms and servers.
There have been many rumors and theories floating around since Catherine has been away from public view due to her planned abdominal surgery in January. It was initially reported that she would need until Easter to recover.
On Sunday morning, a message of appreciation was shared on the social media accounts belonging to the Prince and Princess of Wales. The message came with a photograph and expressed gratitude towards those who had shown their support.
The message expressed gratitude for the warm wishes and unwavering support received during the past couple of months. It further extended well wishes to all on the occasion of Mother's Day. Signed off with a simple initial, C.
