Phil Foden has been put forward for a regional prize along with Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester City's talented player Phil Foden has been selected as a nominee for the Premier League Player of the Season award at this year's Northwest Football Awards.

The 24-year-old, who recently won the PFA Players Player of the Season award, had an outstanding season for Manchester City in 2023/24. He played a key role in the team's victories in the Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Foden contributed to 39 goals in 53 games for manager Pep Guardiola's team, helping Manchester City secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title in the previous season.

The all-around midfielder has been selected as a contender for the Ballon d'Or award next month, and has received several important individual awards in the past few years. Additionally, he played a key role in England's journey to the European Championship final this summer.

The young 24-year-old athlete has been selected as a candidate for the Premier League Player of the Season award at the Northwest Football Awards. He is competing against Josh Cullen, Jordan Pickford, Mohamed Salah, and Bruno Fernandes.

Kane Taylor, who came back to Aston Villa in the summer, has been nominated for the Rising Star of the Season award for his excellent performances at the City Football Academy.

The teenager has been chosen as one of 20 nominees, which also include Luca Koleosho, Jarrod Branthwaite, Jarell Quansah, Kobbie Mainoo, Adam Mayor, and Sam Tickle.

Foden has been nominated despite only playing for Manchester City for 45 minutes this season. He has been dealing with a long illness.

The Manchester City player has not played since the second half of a 0-2 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. This issue has also led the 24-year-old to pull out of the England national team games this month.
