Furious England fans rage at Kieran Trippier after Phil Foden sees goal against Slovakia disallowed...

Phil Foden

In the match between England and Slovakia on Sunday, England thought they had scored a goal in the 50th minute. However, after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed due to offside against player Phil Foden. Fans were upset and pointed fingers at Kieran Trippier for passing to Foden instead of taking the shot himself.

England supporters expressed their disappointment when Phil Foden's goal, which could have equalized the score against Slovakia in the Euro 2024 knockout match on Sunday, was not allowed.

Foden's goal was disallowed following a VAR check which revealed he was in an offside position when he scored four minutes into the second half in Gelsenkirchen.

The Three Lions were trailing 1-0 at that time, after Ivan Schranz scored a goal in the middle of the first half.

England supporters were not happy at all - whether they were in the stands, where they expressed their displeasure with loud boos at half-time, or watching from home.

However, some supporters did not hold Foden responsible for moving into an offside position. Rather, social media was flooded with infuriated England fans criticizing Kieran Trippier for passing the ball to him.

Phil Foden almost scored against Slovakia in the Euro 2024 match on Sunday, but unfortunately, his goal was not allowed because he was offside. Kieran Trippier of the England team assisted him with the pass.

Foden's goal would have tied the game for England at 1-1 if it had not been overturned by the VAR officials.

One frustrated supporter posted on Twitter: "Why didn't Trippier take the shot for goodness sake! If we had someone who is left-footed by nature, that would have been a goal."

Another person said: 'Why didn't Trippier take the shot. It was obvious that he was offside'.

One user's comment expressed embarrassment on behalf of Trippier for not taking the shot.

Trippier was taken off the field in the 65th minute, but the natural left back in England's squad did not come on to replace him.

Because Luke Shaw is still not healthy, Gareth Southgate decided to substitute Trippier with Cole Palmer.

Why didn't Trippier take the shot, for goodness sake! ????

If we had a player who kicks with their left foot on that side, we would have scored a goal.

Why is Trippier not taking the shot?

That is really embarrassing coming from Trippier. Why didn't he take the shot?

Why did Trippier not take the shot instead.....

If Trippier were naturally left-handed, I'm sure he would be able to take shots and likely score on his own.

Kieran Trippier, you have permission to kick the ball in that direction.

Trippier is not effective, he is far from being in the correct position, just take the shot.

Trippier was taken off the field before the game ended on Sunday in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

England was close to losing the match 1-0, but they managed to score a fair goal in the extra time thanks to an impressive overhead kick by Jude Bellingham.

Captain Harry Kane then finished the comeback with a goal from his head in the beginning of extra time before England won 2-1 to secure a spot in the quarter-finals against Switzerland.
