Efforts are being made to locate Michael Mosley, a medical professional and journalist who appears on television and writes for newspapers. He has been reported missing after embarking on a hike along the coast of the island of Symi in Greece.

The man who often appears on The One Show and This Morning, who is 67 years old, went hiking on St Nicholas Beach on the Dodecanese island at 1.30pm on Wednesday and hasn't been seen since. His wife, Dr. Clare Bailey, became concerned when he didn't come back by 7.30pm and contacted authorities, but they couldn't find him during the night.

Someone has made a Facebook post in a nearby community group, asking if anyone living on the island with a population of roughly 2,500 has spotted Mosley.

The blog stated the arrival of a search and rescue squad from Athens equipped with drones and advanced tools to expand the search.

Do you happen to know this guy? He started his walk back from St. Nick's around 1:30 PM but hasn't made it back home yet. His pals are worried sick since it's already been six hours since he was last spotted. His name is Dr. Mike Mosley and he's a well-known figure among Brits.

Mosley is a writer for the Daily Mail and has produced several films discussing nutrition and physical activity, such as his Channel 4 program "Michael Mosley: Who Made Britain Fat?" Additionally, he participated in the television program "Trust Me, I'm A Doctor," broadcast by the BBC.

For the documentary Infested! Living With Parasites on BBC Four, he resided with tapeworms in his intestines for a duration of six weeks.

Many people attribute the growing fame of the 5:2 diet to Mosley, who promotes it as a way to shed pounds by fasting twice a week. The British Medical Association has bestowed upon him the prestigious title of "medical journalist of the year" in the past.

Further information will be provided shortly.
