Michael Mosley: TV doctor missing on Greek island of Symi

The agent of Dr. Michael Mosley, a famous TV personality who introduced the 5:2 diet to the public, reported that he is currently missing during his vacation in the Greek island of Symi.

According to a Facebook group in the area, Dr. Mosley went for a walk at 1:30 pm on Wednesday but didn't come back until the next morning on Thursday.

The presenter who is 67 years of age is popular for his contributions to various TV shows like the BBC show Trust Me, I'm a Doctor and his appearances on The One Show from BBC and This Morning from ITV.

According to a message shared on the team's social media page, a search and rescue crew from Athens is anticipated to arrive soon with drones in order to broaden the exploration efforts.

Symi belongs to the cluster of islands called Dodecanese in Greece and had a tally of 2,590 people in the year 2011.

Dr. Mosley's filmography has earned him prestigious accolades, one of which is an Emmy award for a science documentary called "The Human Face" produced by the BBC. The said film explores the scientific reasoning behind the way in which human beings perceive beauty.

He has also promoted the benefits of diets that involve intermittent fasting, such as the 5:2 diet and The Fast 800 diet.

Together with his wife, Clare Bailey Mosley, who also works as a doctor, author, and advocate for healthy living, they have a total of four children.
