Melco's First European Resort Opens In July
Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced that the City of Dreams Mediterranean will open on July 10, 2023. This will be the first integrated resort in Europe. Melco is an international Hong Kong-based company that operates casinos and resorts.

Once operational, this IR will have an unparalleled range of offerings, such as Europe's largest casino, fine dining restaurants, elaborate entertainment, and Cyprus's biggest exhibition center. Furthermore, these fashionable rooms follow Melco's exacting standards and comprise Mediterranean influences, soft color schemes, and each have a private balcony with a unique view of Akrotiri Salt Lake, Troodos Mountain range, and Lady's Mile Beach. Reservations for hotel rooms in the IR are open starting October 2022, accepting bookings from June this year onwards.
The place contains a gigantic casino of 7,500 sq. meters. They have famous table games, a separate poker area, modern slot machines, and live entertainment. Additionally, Westar designed the wide-open gaming space. Not just that, VIP members can enjoy Platinum Club to experience the outstanding service.
The IR has eight places to eat and drink. They have different types of food, like Asian and Mediterranean. The chef is named Olivier Belliard. You can watch the chefs cook because the kitchen is open. They grow their own food outside. It's organic.
There's a huge pool complex, adventure park, and Kids City for families in Cyprus. You can have fun on the zip line, trampoline area, and Waverider. Kids City offers cool activities for 4-12 year olds. Also, the IR has 8,000 sq. meters of indoor and outdoor space for events. You can have big weddings, conferences, and concerts there.
This place has many features like the Grand Ballroom for huge gatherings. It can fit over 1,000 people. There's also the Forum and some meeting rooms that are modern. The amphitheater is made in a Roman style. The Renu Spa & Fitness is there too, and it's all about giving rejuvenating treatments. They look at the Morpheus Spa in City of Dreams Macau for inspiration. That spa got an award from the Forbes Travel Guide in 2020 for being "Spa of the Year."

Melco Resorts plans to spend around $575 million to $600 million on its latest casino resort, City of Dreams Mediterranean, located in Cyprus. The company was making a Cyprus IR and also had a temporary casino in Limassol called "C2". It has a license to manage satellite casinos in Nicosia, Ayia Napa, and Paphos under the same brand.
