Rescue team members at a Highland RNLI station have taken a break from the ocean to focus on music - collaborating with a choir to produce a Christmas song!
The Kessock team from the RNLI has teamed up with the People's Show Choir from the Black Isle to create a fresh rendition of Phil Coulter’s song 'Home From The Sea.' Their goal is to generate essential funds during the Christmas season.
They shared a video of the song on their Facebook page.
A representative from the RNLI Kessock station has shared exciting news about a unique Christmas choir project, stating: "Watch out, Cliff, Noddy, and Mariah! This holiday season brings a special surprise—we’ve recorded our very own Christmas single!"
We are grateful to Ula and Baz for partnering with The People's Show Choir Black Isle to support fundraising efforts during the holiday season.
Ula and Baz put this all together and made sure everything was ready for it to succeed, from the singing lessons to the production. We find it incredible, and we hope you do too.

"We'd like to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed. We hope all our followers have a great time with it."
The spokesperson explained why they decided to release the new single, stating, "We put it out during the holiday season to remind everyone that the volunteers at the RNLI are always ready to respond when needed, even during this time of year."
The RNLI operates as a round-the-clock service entirely funded by the kind contributions from the public. Without this support, we wouldn't be able to rescue lives out on the water.
The initial response to the new single has been extremely favorable, with online remarks lauding their "incredible" work. Others involved expressed that it "was truly an honor to participate – it was moving at the time, and still is when I listen to it now!"
It seems poised to generate a substantial amount for the charity. Just a few hours after the video link was posted, their JustGiving page had already surpassed £250 of their original £500 goal— and it’s hard to say how much more it could achieve from this point!
