Laura Kenny: The Successful British Cyclist
Laura Kenny is a British professional track cyclist who has won multiple Olympic gold medals. Born in 1992 in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, she had initially shown a strong interest in horse riding. But due to her asthma condition, her mother introduced her to cycling when she was around ten years old. After joining a local club, Laura began to develop her skills on the track and raced in competitions within the UK.
At the 2012 London Olympics, Laura won two gold medals in the women's team pursuit and the omnium. In the following Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, she won another two gold medals, defending her former titles in team pursuit and omnium. Her remarkable success at such a young age, underlines her potential to achieve even more in the future.
