Katie Price declared bankrupt for second time
Katie Price, who was once a famous model known for her beauty, has been declared bankrupt once again because of an outstanding tax bill of over £750,000 that she hasn't paid.
On Monday, it was reported in court that Ms Price, who had previously been stated as bankrupt in 2019, has a debt of £761,994.05 to settle with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
During a brief court appearance at Rolls Building in London, Judge Sebastian Prentis of the Insolvency and Companies Court ruled that Ms. Price had failed to address HMRC's debt claim, which resulted in her being declared bankrupt.
He mentioned that the debtor has not replied yet, but the documents have all been arranged appropriately.
Ms Price owes HMRC a significant amount of money, which means I will be issuing a bankruptcy ruling.
According to the judge's ruling, the invoice is based on one's own evaluations for the periods of 2020-21 and 2021-22 and includes payments for income tax, value-added tax (VAT), extra fees, and added interest.
Ms Price was not present at the court session, which occurred shortly after she received a penalty of £880 for driving without a driver's license or insurance in Northamptonshire in August of 2020.
During the month of February, she received a mandate from a distinct magistrate to give away 40% of her profits generated from the grown-up performance website OnlyFans to trustees for the following three years. This legal matter was distinct from another quarrel over owing debts. The proceedings notified her of a scheduled interrogation regarding her financial aspects to take place in April.
In October of the previous year, she expressed her discontent with repeatedly being threatened with legal repercussions and claimed that she would rather go to jail to be finished with it completely.
During her appearance on Michelle Visage's podcast, TV personality Ms Price opened up about her bankruptcy. She revealed that she had been to court more frequently than she had eaten hot meals in recent times. Additionally, she expressed that she wouldn't be bothered if she was imprisoned.
During March 2023, she appeared on Jeremy Vine's Channel 5 program and expressed her belief that people should not feel embarrassed about being declared bankrupt. Furthermore, she revealed that she had been grappling with mental health issues in the preceding years.

At a court hearing in October 2020, she expressed regret and asked for forgiveness, admitting that she was struggling to process the situation due to her mental state.
