Arrest warrant issued for Katie Price as she fails to attend court hearing
A judge has issued a warrant for Katie Price's arrest because she did not show up for a court hearing about her bankruptcies.
Judge Catherine Burton, from the Insolvency and Companies Court, stated that the ex-model had been given explicit notices that she must appear at the scheduled hearing on Tuesday.
Price was scheduled to be questioned about her finances in the specialized bankruptcy court in London by lawyers representing the trustee of her two bankruptcies.
During a previous court appearance, a judge warned her that she could be arrested if she failed to show up for future court dates. The judge also emphasized the importance of providing evidence if she was unable to attend.
When Burton issued the arrest warrant, he explained that Price did not show up for the hearing and did not give a reason for her absence.
She stated that she believes it is essential for the court to authorize an arrest warrant for Ms. Price. She believes that Ms. Price has no valid reason for not showing up to today's hearing.
She went on to say, "The reason why she's not here today doesn't matter."
