Harrison Butker snaps back at Serena Williams after tennis star's BRUTAL dig at him at ESPYs

Harrison Butker responded to Serena Williams' harsh comment at the ESPYs, stating that she essentially suggested excluding those who have different opinions.

The winner of the Super Bowl, who has faced criticism since giving a speech at an arts college in Kansas earlier this summer, issued a statement on Friday.

Williams addressed the crowd at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles last Thursday, stating that women's sports should be appreciated just like any other sport, emphasizing that they are indeed sports.

During a public appearance, Serena made a comment about not needing Harrison Butker's support for women's sports, despite her sister Venus encouraging fans to do so. Comedian Quinta Brunson chimed in, jokingly emphasizing that they did not need his support at all.

However, Butker, who faced backlash for his speech at Benedictine College where he advised female graduates to embrace traditional homemaking roles, praised Williams in his statement.

The 28-year-old Chiefs kicker praised Mrs. Williams for using her influence to share her opinions on different subjects. He believes that sports are meant to bring people together.

Murdering Her Gently: Harrison Butker first spoke about Serena Williams being a 'fantastic host' at the ESPYs in his response to the tennis star's comment about him.

The Chiefs kicker has faced criticism recently for suggesting that women should prioritize being homemakers in May.

'While honoring an array of talented individuals who have achieved remarkable accomplishments, she took advantage of the occasion to exclude those she does not see eye to eye with from showing their support for fellow competitors,' he remarked.

Following his remarks on May 25th, Butker, a three-time winner of the Super Bowl, revealed that he felt no remorse for sharing his opinions. He mentioned that he received both encouragement and a surprisingly high amount of negativity from others.

In addition to his thoughts on women, Butker claimed that some Catholic authorities were promoting harmful ideas about gender to young Americans. He mentioned a sin related to pride that is honored for a month, alluding to Pride month. He also criticized President Joe Biden's policies, including his disapproval of the Supreme Court overturning the Roe v. Wade ruling from 1973.

"For the past few days, there has been a lot of talk all over the world about my beliefs or people's perceptions of my beliefs," Butker, a dedicated Catholic, shared.

Butker, who has won the Super Bowl three times, has stood by his comments without any apologies.

In the beginning, a lot of people showed extreme hatred towards me. However, as time passed, even those who didn't agree with my opinions showed their support for my right to practice my religion freely.

Butker acknowledged receiving criticism for his play on the field, emphasizing that he prioritizes his faith over his career in football.

"I made a deliberate choice and I am completely happy with it," he declared.

The NFL has separated itself from Butker's remarks. The league stated that the remarks and perspectives are not representative of the NFL as a whole.

Butker, the Chiefs' kicker, went to the White House with the team soon after giving a speech on May 21st.

Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, mentioned that his fellow teammate has the right to hold his own beliefs, even if they don't always see eye to eye.

In an episode of his podcast called 'New Heights', Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Chiefs, talked about how much he values Butker as a fellow teammate.

Kelce stated that his views and the statements he made during the commencement speech are his own.

I don't really agree with most of what he said, except for the fact that he cares for his family and children. I believe that it's not fair to judge someone based on their beliefs, particularly their religious beliefs. That's just not how I operate.
