Hannah Waddingham has expressed her disapproval towards individuals who condemn Tom Cruise, stating that she doesn't have any interest in it.

The actor from Ted Lasso is working on the final part of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning with the Hollywood personality who has encountered controversy. This movie is expected to come out in 2025.

During the Christmas celebration, which aired on Christmas Day, Waddingham made an appearance on James Martin's Saturday Morning show on ITV. The conversation turned to Cruise while they were chatting.

The performer and theatrical artist, who stars in a Christmas-themed variety show on Apple TV+, had only positive things to say about the performer, whose successful movies include Minority Report and Top Gun: Maverick.

Rewritten: Waddingham reminisced about spending five packed days with Cruise on the USS George HW Bush fighter carrier and shared with TV chef Martin her disdain towards anyone who criticizes him now.

She went on to say: "He is definitely one of the nicest, supportive, optimistic, and motivating individuals I have ever encountered. Don't you think he's wonderful? I won't tolerate anyone speaking negatively about him."

Despite being a highly profitable actor in Hollywood, Cruise is notorious for his eccentric behavior outside of the industry and often scrutinized by the media. He gained notoriety in 2005 for his attention-grabbing move of jumping on Oprah Winfrey's couch to profess his love for his then-girlfriend Katie Holmes. Additionally, he engaged in a heated argument with Matt Lauer regarding psychiatry and its validity as a science, referring to it as a "pseudo-science".

Cruise has faced a lot of criticism due to his connection with the Church of Scientology. The religion has been a topic of debate and controversy, and the actor's support for it came to light in 2008 when a video was leaked where he talked about its advantages. This left many of his followers perplexed and doubtful.

During the January 2023 Golden Globes, Jerrod Carmichael, the host who emceed the event, teased Tom Cruise. Carmichael mentioned Shelly Miscavige, the spouse of David Miscavige, who happens to be the chief of Scientology. Shelly Miscavige has not been seen in public since 2007.

The comedian discovered three Golden Globe awards which were previously returned by Tom Cruise while he was backstage. The comedian then proposed the idea of exchanging the awards for the safe return of Shelly Miscavige.

In 2018, a lawyer who spoke on behalf of the Church of Scientology declared the allegations to be highly disturbing. The lawyer went on to assert that Mrs. Miscavige was not absent and could be accounted for.

In the beginning of the year, Judd Apatow made some jokes about Tom Cruise's association with Scientology when he was hosting the Directors Guild of America Awards.

He joked that whenever he performs an intense and daring stunt for a new Mission: Impossible movie, it seems like he's promoting Scientology.

The eighth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, which will feature actors such as Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames, is scheduled to hit theaters in July of 2025.
