Glastonbury fans to battle it out as first lot of 2024 tickets go on sale
Glastonbury enthusiasts are preparing themselves for the release of the first set of highly sought-after tickets for the 2024 music festival tonight.
The bus ticket deal, which comes with transportation to the Worthy Farm location in Somerset, will become available at 6pm on Thursday.
Individuals who have previously signed up will be the only ones permitted to try and obtain tickets for the internationally recognized occasion occurring between June 26 to 30.
People who are able to obtain tickets will have to pay £355, alongside a £5 fee for booking for standard tickets. Furthermore, an extra amount for the transportation through coach will also be included.
If you decide to make a purchase, you will need to provide a deposit of £75. The remaining payment must be settled no later than the first week of April.
If you couldn't attend on Thursday, don't worry because you have a second chance. You can buy general admission tickets without transportation on Sunday November 5 at 9am.
But for those who are enthusiastic about attending, time is of the essence, given that last year the organizers revealed that ticket and coach bundles were no longer available at 6:23pm.
The site had a "technical problem" that caused many fans to report repeated crashes at various stages of the booking process, resulting in general tickets taking over an hour to sell out.
Emily Eavis, the co-organizer, has disclosed that a prominent female artist has been scheduled for the legends slot at the 2024 festival. However, the rest of the festival's roster has not yet been made public.
The tickets for next year will cost £355 along with a £5 booking fee. This is £20 more expensive than the tickets for 2023, which cost £335 plus the £5 booking fee. The price has increased by £55 compared to the 2022 tickets, which were priced at £285.
The organizers of the 2024 festival have not yet made public the list of performers, but Emily Eavis, who helps coordinate the event, has revealed that they have secured a well-known female artist to headline the legends slot.
During her appearance on the Sidetracked podcast by BBC, she mentioned that the artists performing at the five-day event in June are yet to be confirmed. However, she expressed her desire to have two female headliners for the event.
The current festival had the Arctic Monkeys headlining on the Pyramid Stage for Friday night, with Guns N’ Roses taking the stage on Saturday night and Sir Elton John concluding the festival on Sunday night.
Yusuf, formerly known as Cat Stevens, took the stage in the afternoon slot reserved for legendary performers on Sunday. The iconic classic rock band, Blondie, followed his performance.
Various phases on the vast 900-acre area showcased an assortment of top-notch musicians, along with speeches given by political figures, exhibitions of movies, and shows of theatrical and circus acts.
