Tickets for the general sale of the Glastonbury Festival 2025 are expected to be available just a few days after coach tickets sold out in half an hour.
On Thursday, November 14, festival planners introduced a new ticketing system, but many eager fans expressed their frustration, calling the experience "terrible" after all the tickets were quickly sold out.
As per the Glastonbury website, attendees were given a spot in a queue at random instead of needing to keep refreshing the waiting page when the tickets became available.
Disappointed fans who missed out on tickets turned to social media to criticize the new ticketing system, which was implemented for the first time this year and had already raised worries before sales began at 6 PM.
A festival-goer reached out to the event's organizer on social media, saying: “@emilyeavis, what made you decide to implement this system? It’s worse than it was before. Attendees dislike having no control over it. It’s awful.”
While no major acts have been revealed for next year's festival, anticipation is likely to reach new heights. This is partly because Glastonbury, scheduled for June 25 to June 29, will be skipping a year in 2026.

Tips From Glastonbury On How To Get Tickets
The Glastonbury website has provided some tips for fans looking to grab tickets for next year's festival.
The coach sale page states: "The ticket and coach sale for Glastonbury 2025 has not started yet. Once it does, you'll be given a spot in the queue. There's no need to keep refreshing this page."
When it's your turn, you'll have 10 minutes to access the website.
Next, you’ll need to provide the registration number and the registered postcode for the main booker, as well as for up to five additional individuals for whom you’re trying to purchase tickets.
"Tickets will only be assigned after your payment has been completed."

Glastonbury Festival Reveals Ticket Sales Update
The alteration was officially announced on Tuesday, November 5, in preparation for the sales taking place on November 14 and 17.
The Glastonbury website announced, "While the actual booking process for 2025 will remain consistent with previous years, the method for accessing the booking system is being updated."
Instead of repeatedly reloading the holding page to try to get to the booking page, this year, when ticket sales start (either at 6 PM or 9 AM), everyone who is already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com website will be randomly placed in a queue to begin the booking process.
The announcement mentioned that anyone who signs in after the sale begins will be placed at the end of the line. Therefore, it's crucial to be online and prepared at least a few minutes ahead of the sale's start time.

As per a source close to the situation, the team behind Glastonbury is looking to sidestep the same criticisms next year by bringing in one of the biggest acts in the music industry for the Pyramid Stage.
Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, has never taken the stage at Glastonbury. However, he has been the main act at other major festivals in Europe, such as Reading and Leeds in 2017.

The Independent has created a useful guide filled with advice on how to increase your chances of securing those sought-after tickets. But if you’re among the many who weren’t able to grab one, there are alternative methods to experience Glastonbury. And no, we don’t mean sneaking in.
"Earning Your Ticket"
Please note that in certain situations, you may need to purchase the ticket upfront, and you will receive a refund after you finish the necessary hours of work.
Each year, numerous organizations seek volunteers to be part of the festival in exchange for complimentary entry. Typically, individuals need to complete three eight-hour shifts to earn their ticket, although this requirement can differ based on the organization.
Every year, Oxfam gathers a dedicated team of 2,000 volunteers to participate in the festival. Volunteers take on various responsibilities, such as guiding attendees, promoting causes, and helping out at temporary charity shops located throughout the event. In addition to your ticket, you'll enjoy safe camping accommodations, receive a meal voucher for each shift you work, and have access to hot showers, restrooms, tea and coffee, as well as phone charging facilities.
Festaff also welcomes a variety of volunteers at Glastonbury, along with other festivals organized by the company.
Based on information from their website, Festaff roles typically require volunteers to collaborate with others who share similar interests. These positions involve simple and enjoyable tasks, such as helping out at the campsite, distributing wristbands, scanning tickets when guests arrive, working as bar staff at the entrance, assisting at information points in the campsite, or taking on general support duties.
