Tyson Fury said that Francis Ngannou's prospects against him in their upcoming fight are as slim as a "table tennis champ" competing against Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.

Fury, the champion of the heavyweight division of the WBC, is scheduled to face off against Ngannou, a former title holder in UFC, in Saudi Arabia this Saturday evening (28 October). Even though Fury's title will not be up for grabs in Riyadh, the match will be a professional bout and the outcome is likely to have an impact on the individual boxing records of both men. Ngannou, who is accustomed to mixed martial arts, currently has no boxing record to speak of.

During the weigh-in on Friday, Fury weighed 277.7lbs, whereas Ngannou weighed 272.1lbs. However, it's important to note that both men were wearing clothes.

Following the weigh-in, Fury, who is 35 years old, commented about his opponent from Cameroon. He expressed that he believes his opponent is quite overweight and he plans on knocking him out quickly. Fury stated that the length of the fight doesn't matter as they only get paid for a short period. Therefore, he intends to make it brief for his opponent.

"Ngannou doesn't bring anything to the table. It's like a ping pong player going against Djokovic in the Wimbledon final. Boxing is not just about two guys fighting, it's a sophisticated sport, it's a science, and the winner is the one who can skillfully set up a knockout."

Djokovic has achieved victory in 24 grand slam tournaments, earning him the title of the most triumphant male tennis player of all time. Interestingly, Margaret Court also shares this world record for the total number of major titles won in the women's bracket.

Following his match against Ngannou in Riyadh, Fury has committed to facing off against the unified boxing champion, Oleksandr Usyk. Despite being unbeaten like Fury, Usyk was not a topic of discussion for the heavyweight boxer.

The speaker emphasized that they were specifically referring to Francis Ngannou for the upcoming fight. They confidently stated they were going to defeat Ngannou and then take a break from fighting for a week. They requested not to be bothered about boxing during their time off with their family. After the break, they stated they would return to take on a smaller opponent.

During the weigh-in, the host apologized to viewers on behalf of the Briton's choice of words. Fury then stated that he needed to apologize and anyone who was offended by his language could leave. He suggested they find the nearest exit and head out the door.

Earlier this week, Fury expressed his discontent with the announcement of his fight against Usyk, which was made public in September. He stated that he was unhappy with the way the news was revealed.
