Fans who participate in the Fantasy Premier League across the UK are excited for the upcoming 2024-25 season of the Premier League.

Manchester City will be looking to win their fifth title in a row, and players like Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah will likely be top choices once more.

However, there are some important updates to FPL for the upcoming season. Here is all the information you require.

Gamers can now enjoy up to five free transfers, which is a change from the previous limit of two. This new rule aims to encourage players to be strategic and avoid constantly making changes to their roster.

Stored transfers will also no longer revert to zero when the Wildcard and Free Hit chips are used.

Sharp FPL players will see that the field looks changed for the upcoming season. The layout has been adjusted to make it easier to use.

Each team member will have their own player card, which will provide important details for users to consider when determining who to include in their starting lineup, on the bench, or to trade.

In the upcoming 2024-25 season, there will be some adjustments to how points are awarded. One of the changes includes goalkeepers receiving 10 points for scoring a goal, instead of the previous six points. It is worth noting that the likelihood of a goalkeeper scoring a goal is very rare.

Goalkeepers will now earn nine bonus points for saving a penalty, compared to the previous 15. Additionally, clearing the ball off the goal line will now grant three bonus points, while hitting the target with a shot will earn two bonus points.

Gamers will receive an extra point for successfully drawing a foul.

Blank and Double game weeks can create challenges for FPL players. It usually involves more strategic planning and it's easy to lose points during those times.

Casual players who prefer a more relaxed approach will probably be happy to hear that there won't be as many Blank and Double gameweeks. This is because the FA Cup schedule won't overlap with Premier League matches as often.

Unsatisfied with only having the Bench Boost, Triple Captain, Free Hit, and Wildcard options, FPL has introduced a new chip for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Regrettably, it won't be ready until January and the purpose of it hasn't been disclosed yet.

Certainly, there will be a lot of discussion and guessing about the Mystery Chip. But at this point, it is all just speculation.
