As per online sources, the famous rapper passed away at 51 years of age on December 10, 2023.

People who follow this celebrity would be happy to learn that the entire situation was merely a terrible rumor about their demise. However, individuals got perplexed despite this clarification.

A person decided to modify the Wikipedia entry of the well-known rapper Slim Shady by stating that he had passed away. However, the entry has thankfully been corrected to reflect that Eminem, whose birth name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is still alive.

Fans took a screenshot of the edit and shared it on X, which was previously known as Twitter.

It didn't take much time for #RIPEminem to gain popularity and for his name to start trending on the social media platform.

After the hoax was revealed, fans showed their worry and apprehension.

Someone using the username KryzeSkywalker claimed that they were extremely shocked when they saw that Eminem's page had been edited, saying that they "almost had a heart attack."

According to ThisBrownGeek, the news of his death caused him to experience heart palpitations. However, he expressed immense joy upon learning that he was still alive.

Chloe Case declared that she began shedding tears while Raveesh Raj stated that the information made him experience a small cardiac episode.

People on social media condemned those who would stoop so low as to fake someone's death, remarking that this is not the time for foolishness, given how difficult this year has been.

Another person wrote, "Don't mess with him, he's not someone to play around with. Show some respect."

There have been other celebrities, besides Eminem, who have been targeted by fake death reports this year, and unfortunately, there will probably be more.

Very recently, in another part of the world, Denise Welch from the popular TV show Loose Women had to eliminate false news about her death that was being spread on the internet.

Some people proposed a 'state funeral' for Denise, who wanted to acknowledge her own mortality and express gratitude for the support she had received.

Maybe in a more somber tale, but it was reported earlier this year that Lil Tay, who had gained popularity on social media, had passed away at the age of 14.

A statement on the Instagram page of the teenager declared that she and her brother passed away in an unexpected and sorrowful occurrence.

However, Lil Tay subsequently posted a message of her own, criticizing the announcement as an unauthorized access to her account, resulting in a distressing 24-hour period.

"I want to emphasize that my brother and I are secure and well, but I'm devastated and having trouble expressing myself appropriately," the celebrity informed TMZ.

The past 24 hours have been incredibly distressing for me. I spent the entire day receiving countless distressing and emotional phone calls from family and friends, while trying to manage this difficult situation.

Someone else took control of my Instagram account and started to spread false and shocking information about me. They even used the wrong name, which is Tay Tian, not "Claire Hope".

The celebrity additionally expressed gratitude towards Meta for restoring access to her Instagram profile.
