On Super Tuesday, Donald Trump easily won in almost all of the states holding Republican primaries. This put him very close to officially becoming the party's nominee to go up against Joe Biden in the upcoming White House election.

At 11.30pm on Super Tuesday, which is a critical day in the primary calendar, Trump was declared the winner in 12 out of the 15 states that were voting in the Eastern Time zone.

The previous leader's strong performance, which involved victories in California and Texas, the largest rewards of the evening, will increase the level of stress on his primary opponent, Nikki Haley, to drop out of the race.

Trump is getting closer and closer to the necessary 1,215 delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination for the convention in July. It's predicted that he won't reach this number until sometime later this month.

Addressing his followers at his luxurious Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump behaved as if he was already set to become the nominee and focused on the upcoming general election challenge. He urged all Republicans to fully support his campaign.

In a speech that lasted approximately 20 minutes, the previous president stated that the Republican party has an incredible amount of skilled individuals. He went on to emphasize the importance of unity and declared that it will be achieved in a timely manner.

By late evening on Super Tuesday, Haley had only won one state - Vermont. According to the Associated Press, this was her second victory in the Republican primary race. She had previously secured delegates from the District of Columbia, which is the US capital. However, a spokesperson for the Haley campaign did not comment on the future of her campaign during Tuesday night. Instead, they criticized Trump's comments. The spokesperson stated that simply claiming "we're united" does not bring about unity. Many Republican primary voters continue to express concerns about Trump, which prevents the party from achieving the necessary unity for success.

Biden has been very successful in the Democratic primary contests to date, overcoming rivals such as Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson who were never popular. On Super Tuesday, he won in all the states that held votes.

The outcome has prepared the United States for their initial repeat of a presidential election since 1956. During that year, the Republican candidate, Dwight Eisenhower, emerged victorious against his Democratic opponent, Adlai Stevenson, for the second successive term.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Biden expressed that the results from tonight's events offer a straightforward decision for the people of America. They must decide if they want to progress forward or allow themselves to be pulled back by Donald Trump into the disarray, disagreement, and bleakness that defined his presidency.

Numerous surveys have consistently demonstrated that the majority of Americans are not inclined towards witnessing a presidential rematch between Biden, aged 81, and Trump, aged 77. Despite unsuccessful rival campaigns, the primary voters of both parties have refused to consider any other alternatives.

Senator Lindsey Graham, who is a member of the Republican party, expressed his belief that Nikki Haley should prioritize supporting President Trump’s campaign rather than running her own. Graham encouraged her to be a collaborative member of the team. He stated that he cannot fathom how Haley would not ultimately stand behind President Trump. Graham shared these remarks with CNN.

It is surprising to see how well Trump is doing in the Republican primary despite his tumultuous past. During his presidency, he faced impeachment twice by the House of Representatives and currently has to deal with 91 criminal charges in both federal and state courts. Despite all of this, he has managed to make a remarkable comeback.

Despite losing the 2020 election, Trump has refused to accept the outcome and has threatened to take revenge on those who oppose him if he were to be re-elected.

However, numerous Republican supporters hold the belief that he has been unfairly targeted in politics and do not hold Trump accountable for the violence caused by his followers who stormed the US Capitol on January 6th, 2021.

They strongly desire a new strict enforcement policy on immigration at the Mexican border and a restoration of the economy before the pandemic occurred during Trump's presidency. During that time, there was decreased inflation, reduced interest rates, and a slightly lower unemployment rate than the current level.

The majority of those who support the Republican party have welcomed Trump's beliefs when it comes to foreign policy that emphasizes isolating the country. They have also ignored his positive opinions on Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite Trump suggesting that Russia should be allowed to take action against Nato members who do not spend enough money on defense.

On Tuesday night, Trump once again expressed his belief in protecting national security by separating and detaching from other countries. He mentioned his past accomplishments during his first term as President, stating that his administration had peaceful relationships with every nation. Moreover, he declared that they earned respect from everyone and avoided any military conflicts.

Despite losing in 2020 and having his preferred congressional candidates defeated in the 2022 midterm elections, Trump has positioned himself as a viable candidate for the next general election against Biden. Recent general polls also indicate that he has a slight advantage over Biden.

However, there is uncertainty regarding his capacity to attract moderate and swing voters due to his harsh language and some of his radical policies. The outcome of the November election could be influenced by whether the supporters of Haley will support Trump, change their allegiance and vote for Biden or a third-party contender, or choose not to participate at all.

Biden's political weaknesses include concerns from some Americans that he may be too old to serve another term as President, as well as dissatisfaction with his handling of economic, immigration, and foreign policy issues. However, he has a strong stance on abortion, particularly in light of the Supreme Court's recent decision to revoke the constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy. According to Biden, Trump poses a significant threat to democracy and individual liberties, including women's right to make healthcare decisions for themselves. Trump's agenda, as Biden sees it, aims to benefit the wealthy through tax cuts, and he will stop at nothing to remain in power.
