The presenter, who is 66 years old, teamed up with his mate and co-host for their latest show called The Hairy Bikers: Go West. During the show, he spoke about how his cancer diagnosis had impacted his views on life. The presenter shared with his co-host, who is 57 years old, that riding his bicycle again after going through strong chemotherapy treatment helped him understand that there is no need to stress over the small things in life and to cherish the simple pleasures.

Myers and King had a deep conversation on a boat while on a road trip in Scotland. Myers opened up about how his battle with cancer had influenced him to become less anxious and see life from a different viewpoint. This conversation was heartfelt and emotional.

In 2022, the television host and culinary expert shared that he had received a cancer diagnosis. The intensive chemotherapy treatment he received to fight the illness led to him having to relearn how to walk, and it also caused him to experience a reduced desire to eat.

While appearing on a fresh program, Myers advised King by saying, "It's important to make the most out of each day and not worry about tomorrow too much since you never know what might come your way. It could be something as surprising as a two-level bus. Being anxious about silly things has always been a tendency of mine. I can handle bigger problems, but sometimes I stress over the smallest things. However, lately, I've come to realize that I need to put things in perspective." Myers also shared some heartfelt words, mentioning cancer, saying, "There's nothing as devastating as being hit by this illness."

Myers also shared how he has discovered the beauty in life's simple pleasures. During his conversation with King, he expressed, "This moment with you is like a shining beacon of hope - a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel!"

Myers continued to speak and shared his realization on how his life has changed over the past 18 months. He mentioned that something he considered normal a year ago seemed impossible to achieve. He had been longing for it and now that he is experiencing it, he worries that he didn't appreciate the normality he once had. However, he now realizes how fortunate he is to be back on his bike, enjoying the sunshine, the food, and the company of others. He acknowledges that he is incredibly lucky, and he is grateful for it.

The Hairy Bikers were very happy to come back to Bute, Scotland after 30 years since their last visit. When they got to Tasnim, Bachar, and Majd Helmi's bakery, they were fascinated by their incredible journey. Tasnim shared that "when the war began in our country, we were fortunate enough to be here. My husband Mohammed came up with the idea to start this business together with my dad."

Majd, who is 20 years old, confessed to the Hairy Bikers that he arrived here when he was only 12 years old. He faced some challenges initially, mainly because he couldn't communicate with his schoolmates due to the language barrier. It took him roughly a year to adjust to his new surroundings. However, he has made impressive progress since then and even developed a slight Scottish accent, as evident today.

Myers was impressed and amazed by the discovery they made. They were only expecting to find a few new things, but what they found completely exceeded their expectations. He was very impressed with the story behind the discovery, and the people who came there and made a leap of faith. He also admired Majd's pride in his work and the high-quality produce he produces. Myers had a lot of respect for them and their accomplishments.
