Platforms Failing Simultaneously - Cause Unknown
Have you noticed something strange with AI platforms lately? A mysterious issue affected a lot of chatbots that use generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) on Tuesday. This includes big names like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.
While AI platforms have not yet gained as much importance as essential services like email, search engines, or instant messaging, they are increasingly being used for personal, professional, and educational purposes. Their use is constantly growing and expanding.
As per feedback from users and the Calcalist experiment, there is a system outage on Tuesday affecting all the well-known services. The reason behind this is uncertain. At present, it is not feasible to use ChatGPT and Gemini, which are widely used. ChatGPT presents a chat window that is mostly empty with the exception of the input prompt line that does not work. Gemini reveals an error message, but functions sporadically.
Perplexity and Claude, smaller chatbots, are not functioning or are only working occasionally, displaying an error notice.
Currently, we do not have a definite answer regarding the cause of the malfunction. It is unclear whether there is a correlation between the disturbances happening in different services or if it is simply a chance occurring.
