Charmed Cast Remember 'Soft-Hearted Badass' And 'Force Of Energy' Shannen Doherty
The actors from Charmed have been honoring Shannen Doherty after she passed away recently.
A statement released by Shannen's spokesperson on Sunday revealed that the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 had passed away the day before at the age of 53. This news comes four years after Shannen shared with the public that she was battling stage four cancer.
Afterward, Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano, who starred in Charmed, posted tributes on social networking sites.
Shannen portrayed Prue Halliwell in the supernatural drama for three seasons, but eventually left the show due to disagreements with her co-star Alyssa.
Alyssa disclosed to People magazine that her relationship with Shannen was complex, but she emphasized that she had great admiration and respect for her at the core.

Rose, who became part of Charmed after Shannen left, posted on Instagram: "Shannen Doherty was incredibly brave and passionate. Sometimes intense enthusiasm for acting is seen as a negative thing, but Shannen embodied passion."
I first encountered her in the 90s and was amazed. As time went on, I had the privilege of getting to know her better, which was a wonderful blessing. This woman battled fiercely to survive.
She added: "Shannen was always a shining star, even from a young age. Her strong work ethic was always motivating. Shannen's passion for directing, acting, her friendships with Holly, her family, pets and loyal fans was well-known. Our lives were closely connected and we always chose love and respect over negativity."
A kind and tough person if there ever was one. A powerful presence that will always be remembered. May angels and God guide her to a peaceful place where she is vibrant and full of life forever. Rest now, fighter, we will always remember you, dear friend.
Shannen started working as an actor in the early 1980s when she was just a child. She quickly rose to fame with her role as Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210.
Some of her other memorable roles on screen include the popular teen film Heathers, the comedy Girls Just Want To Have Fun from the 1980s, as well as the thrillers Fortress and Darkness Of Man, the latter of which came out earlier this year.
In 2015, she received news of having breast cancer for the first time. Two years passed before she shared that she was now in remission.
Yet, in 2020, she revealed that the illness had come back, and her state was described as stage four.
Shannen spoke about her illness that happened earlier this year. She mentioned that she could die at any time, whether it's today, in 20 years, or even just walking outside. She also acknowledged the possibility of dying from cancer.
"I can only start each day on a positive note, full of hope and excitement for what it may bring. I wake up each morning feeling grateful for the opportunity to live another day, ready to make the most of it."
