Stayt started his journey as a journalist with ITN in the year 1995. He was associated with Five News after that and reported about significant happenings, including the 9/11 attacks. Later, he made his way to Sky News and then to the BBC.

Even though Stayt and Breckell have appeared on the BBC's morning show for almost two decades, their company's financial records from December of last year show that they owe £6,409.

The Sun reported that the pair, who reside in a luxurious four-bedroom house worth £2.3 million in Twickenham, South West London, were recently given a warning of possible bankruptcy by a government agency.

Stayt Limited is a business that deals with television programming and broadcasting activities. The company has three directors, namely Stayt, Breckell, and Hogbens Dunphy Secretaries, who are accountants and tax consultants located in the central part of London.

Stayt is seen with his co-host Naga Munchetty on the BBC.

The TV presenter became a part of the BBC Breakfast team in 2006. Currently, they are co-hosting with Naga Munchetty, aged 49 and from Salford, Manchester. They share the hosting duties together every Thursday until Saturday.

The morning host assumed control of the program once Dan Walker left in 2022 to pursue a position at Channel 5 News.

The newspaper reached out to the spokesperson of Charlie Stayt for their response.

Stayt started working at a radio station that aimed to make a profit in Gloucester. After that, he shifted to presenting the news program on Capital Radio in London.

In the year 1995, he switched over to television, where he got his start with ITN. Afterward, he became a reporter for Five News, and then went on to host their prime-time newscasts and live discussion programs.

Before joining Sky News, he was a prominent anchor for noteworthy occasions such as the report on the 9/11 tragedy and the festivities for the turn of the millennium.

Stayt has also experimented with reality television, presenting programs such as Jailbreak and Are You Telepathic, and joining the competition as a challenger on The Weakest Link in 2022.
