Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz are said to have ended their engagement.
The 44-year-old actor from Magic Mike shared that he popped the question to the 35-year-old Big Little Lies star last October. The two had been in a visible relationship for nearly three years.
Tatum encountered Kravitz while filming her first project as a director, titled Blink Twice. In the movie, he plays a tech billionaire named Slater King, who extends an invitation to a cocktail waitress to visit his private island.
Various sources have told People that the couple has ended their engagement. The Independent has reached out to representatives for both Tatum and Kravitz for a response.
Tatum and Kravitz sparked dating rumors when they were spotted cruising around New York on a BMX bike in August 2021.
By Halloween that year, the star of She’s The Man took to Instagram to publicly confirm their relationship by posting a picture of himself and Kravitz dressed in a couple's costume inspired by Martin Scorsese’s film, Taxi Driver.
Kravitz and Tatum were spotted together at the beginning of October this year, attending a performance of Picture Day in New York to see their Blink Twice co-star, Levon Hawke.
Recently, Kravitz has been spotted without her engagement ring, including during a recent outing with her Big Little Lies co-star Shailene Woodley, according to People.
In August, Kravitz expressed her excitement about collaborating with Tatum on Blink Twice. She described the experience as a wonderful journey and thanked him for allowing her to take the lead as a female director.
"It's truly amazing to have the opportunity to create a movie, but it's even more special when you get to do it with the person you love most," she expressed.
In the meantime, Tatum shared with People: "If you’re considering starting a family or getting married, seek out the most challenging creative endeavor you can do together as a couple."
He described the experience: "It’s incredible when you can glance around the room or on the set and realize that you have the best person beside you, working together to tackle issues. You genuinely rely on them for solutions just as much as you depend on your own efforts to figure things out."
Tatum tied the knot with his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan in 2009. They finalized their divorce in 2019, six years after a difficult separation. Together, they have a 10-year-old daughter named Everly.
In the meantime, Kravitz was once wed to her long-time partner Karl Glusman. They were together for five years before getting married in 2019. Kravitz initiated divorce proceedings in January 2021, just seven months before her relationship with Tatum became public.
