Ice Spice Recruits Central Cee For New Single ‘Did It First’
Ice Spice has quickly become successful in the past couple of years. She put out her first EP, "Like..?", at the beginning of last year after gaining attention with popular singles such as "Munch (Feelin' U)," "Bikini Bottom," and "Princess Diana." She has performed at various venues globally and is working towards releasing her first full-length album.
Ice Spice's first album, Y2K!, is coming out on July 26. She was born on January 1, 2000, which is why she named the album that. The rapper from the Bronx has been working hard this year to get ready for the release. She started off the year with the song "Think U the S**t (Fart)" and followed it up in the spring with "Gimmie a Light," which samples Sean Paul. Last month, she released the single "Phat Butt," and now she's giving fans another preview of the album with the latest single "Did It First."
Ice Spice has been giving hints about her new song "Did It First" on social media lately. She joined forces with British rapper Central Cee to make the song a reality. In the lyrics, she raps about getting revenge on a cheating partner and not being bothered because he was the first to do wrong.
On the song, Central Cee presents the viewpoint of the man who cheated on his partner. He raps about being careful with who he gets involved with and how a girl is trying to figure out who he has been with. He acknowledges that he deleted any incriminating messages, which worked out in his favor.
The Y2k! World Tour, Ice Spice's debut headlining tour, started on July 4 with performances at festivals throughout Europe. She will then come back to the US at the end of the month and travel across both the United States and Canada before finishing up in Miami on August 31st.
Y2K! is set to premiere on July 26th.
