Celtic started off their campaign to keep their Premiership title with an easy 4-0 victory against Kilmarnock at their home stadium.

Reo Hatate scored the first goal for the team after 17 minutes with a calm shot from the edge of the penalty area. Celtic increased their lead to two goals just before half-time, thanks to Liam Scales heading in a corner from Matt O'Riley into the far post.

Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn scored the third goal when his shot deflected and went over the Kilmarnock goalkeeper, Robby McCrorie. Anthony Ralston sealed the victory in extra time by scoring his first goal for Celtic since 2021.

Dundee showed great determination and resilience by fighting back twice against city rivals Dundee United in an exciting 2-2 draw. The newly promoted team took the lead at halftime with goals from Kristijan Trapanovski and Miller Thomson, but Dundee United equalized with a goal from Seb Palmer-Houlden. However, Tony Docherty's side didn't give up and managed to score a late penalty through their captain, Luke McCowan, to secure a well-deserved point.

St Mirren had a great European game during the week and then had a solid 3-0 win against Hibernian. They secured their spot in the next round of the Uefa Conference League by beating Valur 4-1 at home. The home team scored three minutes into the second half thanks to Roland Idowu. Substitute Oisin Smyth scored the second goal in the 77th minute and then got another two minutes later to seal the win. It was a well-deserved victory for St Mirren.
