Cardi B files for divorce from Offset, posts she’s pregnant with their third child
Cardi B has officially started the legal process to end her marriage with Offset, who is also a rapper.
A spokesperson for Cardi B verified the information to The Associated Press, stating, "This decision was not made because of a single event, it has been brewing for a while and the parting was mutually agreed upon."
Cardi B didn't address her divorce news directly on Instagram, but instead shared a picture of herself on a rooftop, showing off her baby bump by holding her stomach.
"As one chapter closes, another one begins! I am thankful for the time we spent together during this season. You have given me love, energy, and revived my strength," she expressed in her post. "It may seem easier to give up when faced with challenges, but you, along with your siblings, have shown me the importance of persevering through tough times!"
Cardi B and Offset, originally named Belcalis Almanzar and Kiari Cephus, are the parents of two children, a 6-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave.
The famous hip-hop couple, Offset, a member of the rap trio Migos, and his successful solo career wife were married in a private ceremony on September 20, 2017, in Atlanta. They didn't reveal their engagement until a month after the wedding.
In 2020, Cardi B officially requested a divorce from Offset, saying that her marriage was beyond repair.
