The hip-hop star who has won a Grammy is also requesting financial support for their child from Offset, who is famous for his successful career as a solo artist and his role in the trap music group Migos.

Information about Cardi B's demands were outlined in the divorce paperwork that was acquired on Friday, just one day after they were submitted on Thursday in Bergen County's Superior Court in New Jersey.

Cardi B, who is 31 years old, and Offset, who is 32, have a total of two kids: a 6-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave. It was recently revealed that Cardi B is expecting their third child, as she shared the news in a post on Instagram last Thursday. Reports confirm that Offset is indeed the father of the unborn child.

The official document states that over the last half year, Cardi B and Offset, whose real names are Belcalis Almanzar and Kiari Cephus, have faced disagreements that cannot be resolved. It is unlikely that the couple will reconcile their differences.

A spokesperson for Cardi B informed The Associated Press on Thursday that the decision was not a result of any specific incident, but rather something that had been brewing for a while and was mutually agreed upon.

The famous hip-hop duo, Offset from Migos and his successful solo career, got married in secret on Sept. 20, 2017, in Atlanta. They didn't share their engagement until a month later.

The information in legal documents was originally shared on Friday by popular gossip site TMZ.

In 2020, Cardi B officially asked for a divorce from Offset in Georgia, stating that their marriage was beyond repair. However, she later decided to cancel the request.
