Dortmund claim Der Klassiker win at Bayern
Prior to their latest match, Dortmund had been unable to secure a victory over Bayern since their win in the German Super Cup in August of 2019.
Borussia Dortmund achieved a significant accomplishment by winning against Bayern Munich 2-0 in the Bundesliga, marking their first Der Klassiker victory since 2019.
The guests got the first goal 10 minutes into the match, thanks to Karim Adeyemi, and Julian Ryerson extended their lead towards the end of the game.
With only one minute of standard play time left, Harry Kane believed he had scored a goal, but the referees deemed it to be offside.
After losing their game, Bayern are now trailing by 13 points to Bayer Leverkusen, who secured a victory against Hoffenheim earlier in the day.
The manager of Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, has announced that he will remain at the club for the following season, putting to rest the rumors that he would be taking over for Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving Bayern.
It seems that the Spanish player is destined to guide Leverkusen to their first championship title. The team is only a mere three victories away from preventing Bayern from achieving their 12th consecutive victory in the Bundesliga.
The victory of Dortmund has improved their likelihood of securing a position in the top four, as they are now three points ahead of RB Leipzig, whose current placement is fifth.

In the game, Eric Dier almost scored for Bayern and could have tied the match before halftime, but Mats Hummels made a fantastic save with his extended leg. It's worth noting that Hummels played exceptionally well against his old team.
As Bayern was putting all their efforts into scoring a goal to equalise, they left an open space for Edin Terzic's team to counter-attack. This resulted in the Norwegian full-back Ryerson finding himself with a lot of space and scoring a calm goal past Ulreich.
During the second half, Kane had stayed relatively quiet on the field. However, in the 89th minute, he believed that he had scored thanks to a cross from Noussair Mazraoui. Unfortunately, the Video Assistant Referee reviewed the play and determined that Kane had just narrowly crossed the offside line, resulting in the goal being disallowed.
