MAGA Turns on Trump for Platforming Amber Rose at RNC
Many conservative individuals are upset about Trump's decision to feature media personality Amber Rose at the RNC. They are expressing their disapproval on social media platforms like Twitter, criticizing her sex-positive message. Matt Walsh, a prominent figure on the right, referred to Rose as a "pro-abortion feminist and self-proclaimed slut with a face tattoo whose only claim to fame is having sex with rappers."
The RNC has decided to feature a pro-choice feminist and self-proclaimed promiscuous individual with a facial tattoo during their prime time slot. This individual is known for their associations with rappers and not much else. This decision is truly disgraceful and will not attract any voters.

Rose gained fame after dating Kanye West for two years starting in 2008, then marrying and divorcing Wiz Khalifa. She has continued to stay in the public eye by promoting positive views on sexuality, such as leading the SlutWalk movement to combat violence against women and empower them to redefine the term "slut."
She has also been featured on reality TV and is a well-known creator on OnlyFans, specifically not a performer in adult films. This detail seemed to be overlooked by many social media users who chose to criticize her appearance at RNC.
Some people thought that selecting Rose to represent the Republican party was a shameful decision, as Walsh stated. However, the unexpected choice received compliments from unlikely sources, such as liberal CNN commentator Van Jones, who described Rose's comments as a significant threat to Democrats leading up to the election.
After her presentation, Jones commented that the speaker, a young woman of color, eloquently captured the common experience of feeling hesitant to speak freely in liberal environments for fear of criticism.
A footage of a p*rn star declaring, "This is my community, I feel at home here," during the RNC is a strange sight for the Republican party.

Joy Reid, a host on MSNBC, had a contrasting view. She was doubtful that Amber Rose's status as a young person of color who backs Trump would make a difference. Rose has chosen not to label herself as Black in the past, despite gaining fame through relationships with Black rappers and appearances on platforms like BET. (Rose later explained that she believed it was unjust to simpl y identify as a Black woman, as she is of mixed heritage and has lighter skin.)
Reid expressed skepticism about trusting the person who supports Donald Trump as an endorser. She doubted that it would be effective because the person does not even acknowledge the culture that helped them succeed.
Many RNC viewers went on social media to compliment the speech by Jones, but the prevailing feeling is dissatisfaction that Rose was chosen as the one to "de-stigmatize Black people supporting Trump,” a goal that the campaign has been aiming for since the beginning of the election cycle, according to Axios reporter Sophia Cai.
It seems like they might need to adjust to Rose staying with them because, as she mentioned during her speech, "These are the people I belong with. This is my place."
