Alice Kinsella proud after strong Paris finish

Finishing in 12th place in the women's all-around gymnastics event on Thursday night was a strong showing for Simone Biles from Park Wrekin. Despite facing some challenges at the Bercy Arena, Biles was able to secure her sixth Olympic gold medal.

Kinsella did not qualify for any individual finals and barely made it into the all-around competition after a tough time in Sunday's qualifying round.

However, the 23-year-old athlete has once again shown her resilience, putting on an excellent performance in the team final where Great Britain narrowly missed out on a medal. She continued her strong showing in the following event as well.

Kinsella's performance on the uneven bars was significantly better than during qualifying, and she also showed improvement on the floor routine. Unfortunately, she could have scored even higher if the judges had noticed one skill, which may have secured her a spot in the top 10.

In the end, it's pretty impressive for someone who just admitted they thought about giving up on the sport last year.
