Exciting workshops are taking place at Wellington Community Centre for families to unleash their creativity and try their hand at Lego printing.

Wellington artist, Alex Williams, will be hosting sessions on Saturdays, August 3rd and 10th, from 11 am to 1 pm. She will be sharing her passion for creating vibrant and striking prints, paintings, and wall murals.

The classes are great for kids as young as five and grown-ups alike. Everyone can create their own prints and walk away with plenty to show off, including a personalized notebook.

Alex explained that there are limitless possibilities with Lego pieces. You can make patterns, create pictures, or even write your name backwards.

Discover how to apply ink to your plate using a roller and relief printing ink before you start printing with various techniques.

There will be plenty of inspiration and support from me.

Everyone who joins us will create prints on paper and have the opportunity to customize the cover of a notebook with your unique print design to bring home.

One parent can come at no cost when accompanying a paying child, and the workshops will be limited to small groups of eight individuals.

Mrs. Williams, a skilled educator with expertise in art and primary education, offers a variety of art classes for both kids and grown-ups.

She mentioned: "I have a passion for patterns, ceramics, architecture, and everyday items, and all of my creations are inspired by my sketchbook drawings."

I enjoy collaborating with clients to create a customized design that reflects their unique personality.

One of the latest projects Mrs. Williams worked on was creating a large painting on the wall of a teaching area at a Wellington business called A House of Cake.

Additionally, she decorated the windows of the store with drawings of a hidden garden located behind the cafe on High Street.

Tickets for the Lego printing workshop are priced at £14 and can be purchased on our website.
